It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post! Life is busy as always, but I thought I’d pop in and write a quick before + after post of my new home office. If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know that I recently turned my main floor home office into a guest bedroom (blog post coming soon). My new office space has been upstairs for the past few months, and it hasn’t been the prettiest to look at until now!
To help orient you, the upstairs/attic/bedroom is one large space that narrowly stretches from the front to the back of our house. It has sloped ceilings that are both awkward and charming. The two major projects (aside from painting the gross beige walls white) we’ve done in this room were the 1) slat wall behind the bed and 2) colorblock shelf wall. The rest of the space was still very much bland, underused, and blah.
One roll of wallpaper and a handful of furnishings later, this corner transformed into a cozy and functional home office! Enjoy the before + after photos and let me know if you have any questions. Sources are linked at the end of this post.
