A Little About Me

Hi there, I’m Heena! I started my home design journey in our 1930s Tudor in Minneapolis with my husband and two cats, Poutine and Biscotti. We are now tackling our second home in a new build, with two baby girls on the way! If our previous home was all about adding modern elements and highlighting the original architectural details, now our focus is adding character in a modern home using organic, earthy, and traditional pieces. Still keeping the spirit of “old meets new”, or should I say, “new meets old”?

I created this blog in 2019 hoping to inspire others to create spaces they love, no matter where they’re living or what their budget is. Good designs don’t have to break the bank—thrifting and DIYs are some of my favorite things!
